Lucknow: As part of the Uttar Pradesh Government’s centenary celebrations of the Kakori Train Action, the Department of Botany hosted a screening of the short documentary “Kakori Train Action”. The event, held under the patronage of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai and the expert guidance of Prof. Gauri Saxena, Head of the Department of Botany, marked the beginning of a year-long celebration.
The documentary highlighted the pivotal events of India’s freedom struggle, offering the audience, particularly the students, valuable insights into the significance of the Kakori Train Action. Students not only gained a deeper understanding of the event’s historical context but also benefited from the educational perspective it provided on the broader struggle for independence.
